Well Aaron is still serving in the Young Men as the Scoutmaster, which means he does campouts once a month. I have realized that when I am more willing to let him go it goes by faster and I tend to have more fun. Well this time I had sorta mentioned to the Young Women that I would have a girl party and they jumped right on that, except then when it came to Friday they all had realized that it was a rival baseball game, but I still had three young women show up, one being my sister in law! But we had a blast. We had facials, and manicures. I think that even Ryan enjoyed it... just don't tell daddy we did his nails too! ;)

Happy Father's Day

"...a father’s calling is eternal, and its importance transcends time. It is a calling for both time and eternity"-Ezra Taft Benson
I just wanted to let Aaron know how much we love and appreciate him. He is the best daddy and husband I could ask for! Aaron you are such a great example to everyone around you especially your family! We couldn't have a better man leading our family and teaching us and leading us righteously. We love you very much, HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!

Just Like Dad

So I am now the Young Woman Counselor! yay! Well one day when I was going up to the church for a meeting the President called before I got out the door and said that there was a SNAKE in front of the church door. Well poor girl is from Utah and is NOT a fan of snakes (I can relate!) and she called not knowing what to do. I guess its a natural thing for people to call Aaron since he is a Biology man, and our house seems like it is swarming with pets. (thanks to all of his Biology students last year!) Well Aaron was super excited for the chance to play with snakes and I think play the hero! ;) When we got up there Aaron ran out of the car and immediately identified the snake as a Bull Snake. I guess they are pretty much harmless, not like that makes any difference to me!! Aaron immediately picked up the snake and started showing it off to all the little boys that were just ending cub scouts. Let me just say at this point I was doing all I could to not freak out because Brookie, seeing what Daddy was doing, was right there beside Aaron.
Maybe I was secretly hoping Brookie would be like me in a sense that she would HATE ALL SNAKES AND BUGS, but I guess she got that gene from Aaron. YES Aaron and I have a disagreement all the time about how these things are learned not inherited, however I beg to differ! Well once I was needing to really go in and get out of this stress mess for me, another snake came slithering up.... ugh! I was worried about Ryan and Brookie so I ended up taking them in with me to the meeting so Aaron could take the snakes home, JUST FOR THE NIGHT!! After about 40 minutes and still no Aaron, and kids going crazy, and trying to have a spiritual meeting, I looked out to find Aaron still hold the snakes and talking with all the cub scout leaders and boys. I think with my "knocking" and "lovingly looking" at Aaron we quickly realized it was time to go. After shooting down Aaron's idea of putting the kids in their seats and putting the snakes in back of the Jeep (not in anything, just slithering around...again..ugh...) Aaron got in another car who followed me home with the kids, and I returned to my meeting to find yet another snake! oh yes! This time when Aaron came up he brought a bucket to put it in (WITH A LID!) and I didn't have to worry about my children! I always told Aaron that there would be no snakes in our house for pets....EVER. He lucked out with one night, and as a result Brookie is now obsessed with her "nice snakes." Don't get me wrong they still left first thing the next morning to live at the community college, but I must admit Brookie was pretty cute being like daddy and his little Princess!

Brits Wedding
A week after the campout was my sister Brittany's wedding. That was a great short trip. We left on Wednesday after Aaron got of work and planned to drive all night... hahaha. Brookie kept complaining about her bum hurting and she just would NOT fall asleep. She saw Brother getting out of his seat to eat or get a bum change so she kept saying she needed to eat and get a bum change... poor girl. The movies just didn't cut it for her. It is a long drive so we ended up stopping in Kanab then drove the rest of the way on Friday. Once we got to Rexburg we went to the splash park with our best friends Katie and Allison. It was a little chilly but Brookie still had fun with her cousins and with Lilly and James. I forgot my camera again... surprised? The rest of the weekend was so busy with wedding stuff we really didn't do anything else. Brit got married Aug. 15, 2009. The wedding turned out really pretty and Brittany looked Gorgeous! It was really fun to see everyone and Brookie had a blast dancing! We eventually got everyone to start dancing... we as in my sister Ashley, me, and Brookie! It was hilarious to see my family out there dancing, we ended up forming a circle and eveyone took turns dancing in the circle! It was fun times... and believe it or not I do have pictures!!
The drive home was great. We stopped at his Grandmas and got to visit with the family then we drove to Beaver and stayed overnight there and got home on Wednesday. It was really fun. While in Idaho we bought Brookie a new car seat so she was pretty happy on the ride home hurt bum free! Aaron and I started reading Harry Potter on the way home and finished the first book and started the second. We are on the 4th book now!! WHOA.... anyways I think that just about sums up August.. I wil have to post pictures later, I have a hungry baby, and Brookie is due for another try on the potty! I love being a mom!!!

Poor Brookie!
Our poor sweet little Brookie. Last week my mother in law broke her toe and had to get her foot wrapped and use crutches, then Rachel (Aaron's sister) got a really bad burn that needed wrapped, so..... Brookie walked around pointing to everything on her body saying "hurt." No worries, she is all fixed and better. Poor Girl!

Life in AZ
This is our new home! yea... It is a cute little home just right for our family! We have had fun thinking what we would like to do with it if money was no option. We painted Brookie's room and we have paint for our room. It seems like most of the stuff we would like to do is just paint for right now! The rooms are a little smaller than our Donegal Bay apartment, but we have already seemed to adjust to that!
While being here we have had some fun adventures and activities. We have been having dinner with Aaron's family just about every Sunday. Brookie loves to be with her cousins especially Michael. She always calls him ichael. But these were just some fun pictures of her and "Ichael" climbing in the toy box and talking to each other on the phones!!
Also being here Aaron has been more and more excited about fishing and hunting. Since he is a resident here and it was his birthday I got him a new fishing and hunting license. We wanted one so bad in Idaho but because he didn't have an Idaho license it was a lot harder to get one, because he didn't claim residency or something like that. ANYWAYS.... at church one Sunday while in a meeting, Aaron asked if anyone had a row boat anybody wanted to get rid of. Well its not quite a row boat, but it was enough to make Aaron happy and it was free, so it made me happy!
So, of course, that wasn't our only adventure! Aaron got a fishing license, and he got me one too so we could all go fishing as a fam!
And yes, that is a little princess fishing pole, for our little princess! She loved it until she dropped it in the lake, Daddy was prepared though. He caught it with his fishing net!
Okay so I know that this is probably the longest blog I have ever done, but there is more. Its okay if you just want to look at the pictures. But the other fun thing about being in AZ during the "Winter" is the "Summer" weather! We have started working out in the yard and it has been pretty fun, I have missed having a yard... SO this is our fun out in the yard!
We have a shed in the back, and as you can tell we just put a lot of our boxes and things outside, so while we were cleaning it out Brookie found a life jacket and thought it was so fun to wear!
Then she started helping daddy with the lawn. That was fun until the lawn mower ran out of gas, and Aaron had to leave for scouts. I was working on our garden area when I turned around to find Brookie, she was in the box, I guess she was all worked out!
