While I was taking some pictures of Paxton, we decided to get a few with Brookie and Pax, and some with all the kids. Brookie LOVES Paxton, and is always wanting to hold him. She asks ALL the time, and she is very sad when she can't because he needs to eat. She always says she will change his diaper too, but I think I will save her from that for a while!

Easter 2012

Every year I LOVE getting everyone a new outfit for Easter Sunday. I really don't know why I love it so much, but its just so fun getting new dresses and trying to look our best for Easter Sunday. Well Saturday was our friend Sasha and her mom's baptism and afterward we headed down to the valley. It was a fun trip, and I loved being able to spend that day with my little family, just getting away from all the business and just having it be us!
We did have an egg hunt in the morning, and the kids were sorely disappointed that there were not toys in their baskets. I wanted to focus more on Christ. So they each got a picture of Christ that had a little child in the picture that best resembled themselves. Ryan was pretty happy about that and showed everyone that that "this is Jesus and Ryan." Brookie was excited to put hers in her scriptures. We also got them little ctr bracelets and we also got them Bible stories that they can listen to and play games on the computer. But all day Brookie kept asking why the Easter bunny would bring other kids toys but not them.... :/ wasn't sure how to answer that one.....

Aaron had grabbed the camera after the kids were ready and took them outside to get pictures. He was teaching them how to fake laugh and these are the results... not bad!
I like this one of Jocelynn... I could hear the kids from my bedroom and I am pretty sure all of Globe knows how loud Ryan can be.... still he was being super cute!

Family pictures.... you say the word and I instantly think there is no possible way to get a great family photo. Most of the time I have a hard time with kids and getting them to look at the camera or stay posed or getting them to stop being silly.... yes I do have to do that with my kids but the problem lies more so in Aaron... and here is proof!! Most of the time I have to tell parents to just keep their head up and looking at the camera and smiling, I have tried that with Aaron. I don't know maybe he thinks that the camera wont catch him speaking to the kids or LOOKING DOWN, or moving or I don't know, its usually his eyes, we can't keep them open! But whatever I have to deal with with my kids its usually with Aaron too. I LOVE YOU HUNNY!! (doesn't he look Chinese in the one above?)

Yes this is the end result of picture taking! Not much time goes by to get to this point! ALL THREE!!
This was afterwards, Jocee's way of winding down

Jocelynn LOVES grandpa... as soon as she sees him, he's the only thing in her world at that moment. In church he will come down from giving a Stake announcement she just holds her hand out and says "grandpa" over and over until he walks past and picks her up, then she's happy.

I had to post sweet Brookie in her bunny hat she made in primary. She was pretty pleased with her hat!
Overall it was a great and fun Easter. Maybe next year we will splurge less on dresses and get them a toy so Brookie wont feel like the Easter Bunny forgot her.

Perfect Moments

Today I decided to Brookie outside to be my little model. I took lots of different pictures, but this one was so perfect. The lighting was incredibly perfect just at that right moment, her placement was just right, and the sun... it seemed like everything lined up perfectly and I got ONE great picture! I can't help but look at this picture and see such a beautiful and perfect little girl. It reminds me of all the things that Heavenly Father has lined up in my life to give me that ONE perfect chance to have something so great come into my life, and this little girl is one of them. I love this little girl so much!

Pinkalicious

Brookie absolutely LOVES the Pinkalicious books. They are about a girl that eats to many pink cupcakes and turns pink, and she LOVES that she is pink. She then eats one more so she will stay pink but turns red instead. Its a really cute book, and we have been reading them a TON, so we decided to have a pinkalicious party. We made pink cupcakes, and a pink cake, and had a picnic and ate the cupcakes and read the book. Brookie was a great helper in making the cupcakes, and the kids were all in pinkalicious heaven!!

Girl Party!

Well Aaron is still serving in the Young Men as the Scoutmaster, which means he does campouts once a month. I have realized that when I am more willing to let him go it goes by faster and I tend to have more fun. Well this time I had sorta mentioned to the Young Women that I would have a girl party and they jumped right on that, except then when it came to Friday they all had realized that it was a rival baseball game, but I still had three young women show up, one being my sister in law! But we had a blast. We had facials, and manicures. I think that even Ryan enjoyed it... just don't tell daddy we did his nails too! ;)

Me, Ryan, and Miss Brookie

THIS FIRST PICTURE CREEPS ME OUT~There is me in the back, Susie (my sweet sis in law) then in front is Emmaline, Ryan, Brookie and Millie Chambers

Happy Father's Day

"...a father’s calling is eternal, and its importance transcends time. It is a calling for both time and eternity"-Ezra Taft Benson
I just wanted to let Aaron know how much we love and appreciate him. He is the best daddy and husband I could ask for! Aaron you are such a great example to everyone around you especially your family! We couldn't have a better man leading our family and teaching us and leading us righteously. We love you very much, HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!

Just Like Dad

So I am now the Young Woman Counselor! yay! Well one day when I was going up to the church for a meeting the President called before I got out the door and said that there was a SNAKE in front of the church door. Well poor girl is from Utah and is NOT a fan of snakes (I can relate!) and she called not knowing what to do. I guess its a natural thing for people to call Aaron since he is a Biology man, and our house seems like it is swarming with pets. (thanks to all of his Biology students last year!) Well Aaron was super excited for the chance to play with snakes and I think play the hero! ;) When we got up there Aaron ran out of the car and immediately identified the snake as a Bull Snake. I guess they are pretty much harmless, not like that makes any difference to me!! Aaron immediately picked up the snake and started showing it off to all the little boys that were just ending cub scouts. Let me just say at this point I was doing all I could to not freak out because Brookie, seeing what Daddy was doing, was right there beside Aaron.Maybe I was secretly hoping Brookie would be like me in a sense that she would HATE ALL SNAKES AND BUGS, but I guess she got that gene from Aaron. YES Aaron and I have a disagreement all the time about how these things are learned not inherited, however I beg to differ! Well once I was needing to really go in and get out of this stress mess for me, another snake came slithering up.... ugh! I was worried about Ryan and Brookie so I ended up taking them in with me to the meeting so Aaron could take the snakes home, JUST FOR THE NIGHT!! After about 40 minutes and still no Aaron, and kids going crazy, and trying to have a spiritual meeting, I looked out to find Aaron still hold the snakes and talking with all the cub scout leaders and boys. I think with my "knocking" and "lovingly looking" at Aaron we quickly realized it was time to go. After shooting down Aaron's idea of putting the kids in their seats and putting the snakes in back of the Jeep (not in anything, just slithering around...again..ugh...) Aaron got in another car who followed me home with the kids, and I returned to my meeting to find yet another snake! oh yes! This time when Aaron came up he brought a bucket to put it in (WITH A LID!) and I didn't have to worry about my children! I always told Aaron that there would be no snakes in our house for pets....EVER. He lucked out with one night, and as a result Brookie is now obsessed with her "nice snakes." Don't get me wrong they still left first thing the next morning to live at the community college, but I must admit Brookie was pretty cute being like daddy and his little Princess!
